The problem is thewriting, directing, and acting - the bare necessities for a good film. It's quite disturbing actually,and there are plenty of wince-inducing scenes here. The psychological aspect comes into play with themansion's caretakers, distant relatives to the protagonist, and howthey gradually lure him away from the reality that he once knew,represented by his oblivious group of friends, and eventually seducehim into their demented family culture. It's a story about a guy who inherits a largemansion from an unknown relative, and the mansion turns out to be thehome and breeding grounds for the grotesque inbred cannibals we've cometo know and love. Wrong Turn 6 tries something unique to the franchise, though: apsychological angle. But at the very least, you hopefor some camp value, gratuitous nudity, and brutal kills. So going into Wrong Turn 6: Last Resort, youknow not to expect top shelf cinema. Then it got an action-packed, direct-to-video sequelfeaturing Henry Rollins kicking all sorts of inbred cannibal ass, andit was awesome. The original was essentially TheTexas Chainsaw Massacre meets The Hills Have Eyes, and it was great forwhat it was, but hardly original enough to warrant the franchisetreatment. Overall, if you have seen the others thenyou might at well watch this one.

What I do know is that this is a series that didn'tneed one sequel let alone 5. This one hasn't done that yet, I'm not sure if that's a goodor a bad thing. I love boobs, of course, but the nudity in this one is justtoo much and adds nothing to the story. I think the story was too much over the top, Declan, the director ofthe previous three parts, just let the story simple how the originalalso was. A lot of unknown and not really great English actors andactress. You can seeclearly that the budget of this one was pretty much the same as part 3,4 and 5.
